TERMS and CONDITIONS
CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA is a private and fully independent language school for adults in Rotterdam, located at Haagseveer 62 in Rotterdam.

REGISTRATION, ADMISSION AND PARTICIPATION
– You can sign up and / or register online via www.centrodilinguaitaliana.com
– Admission to the classes takes place in order of receipt of registration and payment.
– If you want to enter at a higher level, we advise you to first consult CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA to determine your level, possibly after an interview, in order to register for the correct course.
– In case of too many registrations an alternative will be offered or you will be on the waiting list. Candidates on the waiting list have priority when the next course starts.
– The courses start if there are enough registrations. If you do not receive a message, the course starts regularly. In the unfortunate case that a course can not take place, you will receive an email before the start of this course.
– CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA reserves the right to replace a teacher, appointed initially for a particular course, by another teacher if necessary.
– SPECIAL CONDITIONS DUE TO CORONA VIRUS: in the event that live lessons are no longer possible (safety or new government regulations), the course will continue online. On the same day of the week, at the same time. The school will send the instructions for the connection. The refund of the registration fee is not possible.

REGISTRATION
– Once you signed up online, you are registered. Registration is personal and binding for one course (a trimester) for which you have enrolled.
– You must register every subsequent trimester in the same way.
– The registrations are possible up to the week before the start of the courses. This date is on the trimester schedules.
– Once the registration / course fee has been received, your place in the group is guaranteed on the day / time of your preference.
– If you want to change to another group and / or level for any reason, this is always negotiable. Together with the teacher we look for a good and suitable solution.

PAYMENTS
– Registration and payment are made simultaneously. The payment details are on the website (under “Courses” and “Enroll”)
– After registration and payment, the course material will be send via email.
– No refund is possible on missed lessons within a trimester.
– If the course is canceled due to insufficient enrollments, the full course fee will be refunded.

DIVISION IN GROUPS and LANGUAGE
– The courses start every year in September, January and April. The groups are small (between 4 – max 10 students)
– You remain in principle in the same group, at the same time and location during the various trimesters and seasons.
– The lessons are mainly in Italian; further explanation will be in Dutch if everyone in the class speaks Dutch, English if the class is mixed. The knowledge of the Dutch language is not required because the school material is written in English and Dutch (and Italian).

ABSENCE DURING THE LESSONS
– It is nice if you report your absence. You can do this verbally or via email.
– If you miss a lesson, the lesson and the homework will be sent to your email address within 48 hours from the missed lesson.
– You can always catch up with a lesson at another group if there is a second group of that level (or another comparable level) and if you communicate this to the administration in advance.
– Absence of a teacher: in the case of short-term illness of a teacher, the lesson is canceled and will be caught up at the end of the course. In the case of long-term illness, we provide a substitute.

SIGN OUT / STOP / CANCEL
– Your registration is only valid for one trimester. Then your registration will automatically expire.
– If you stop the course prematurely (within a term) for any reason, the refund of the tuition fee is not possible. A personal credit is negotiable, in special situations.
– Refunds of the tuition fees are possible up to the cancellation date.
The cancellation date is 1 week before the start of the course you signed up for.

RESPONSIBILITY
– The course materials made available to the student may not be reproduced or used for purposes other than those that have been set within the course of the lessons.
– CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA is not liable for misplaced books, study materials, clothing items; damage, by whatever cause, to students or third parties, arising in connection with the course; damage from theft or loss and possible consequential damage; accidents/injuries during, before and / or after the lesson at the locations.
– CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA is not liable for consequences arising from your use of Italian words and phrases, before and / or after class at the class locations and/or in the wide world.
– If CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA has to deviate from the specified course dates due to “force majeure”, CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA is not liable for any resulting damage. By “force majeure” we mean: circumstances beyond our control that is unforeseeable, which means that CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA is forced to deviate from the specified course dates.

USE of PHOTOS AND VIDEO MATERIAL
– Film and photo material made during the lessons of CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA can not be used without permission for promotional purposes. It is always asked the students and the teachers to give permission.

APPLICABLE LAW
On all offers, agreements, courses and the implementation thereof of CENTRO DI LINGUA ITALIANA, only Dutch law is applicable.
